Authorities urged to assess security of Budva Assembly Chair Petar Odzic

Podgorica, (MINA) - Leaders of the European Alliance (EA), Damir Sehovic, Ivan Vujovic and Vatroslav Belan, urged the Police Administration and the National Security Agency (ANB) to assess security of Budva Municipal Assembly Chair Petar Odzic and his family.

According to an EA press release, the coalition leaders submitted the request to Acting Director of the Police Administration Lazar Scepanovic and ANB Director Ivica Janovic.

According to EA’s press release, Sehovic, Vujovic and Belan referred to the recent incident when President of the Municipality of Budva, Nikola Jovanovic, was physically assaulted.

“In light of the circumstances surrounding the physical attack and serious bodily harm inflicted on Jovanovic, as well as the strong concern that this criminal act has caused in the Montenegrin public, we consider our request to be both justified and urgent”, said the EA leaders.

Sehovic, Vujovic and Belan warned that this brutal attack had a clear political motive and background, and added that Odzic has been exposed to targeting by the same group that attacked Jovanovic for a long time.
