Call for Budva bypass launched 

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Monteput has launched a public call for the design and construction works on the expressway along the Montenegrin coast, section Markovici – Lastva Grbaljska (Budva bypass), for the first phase covering civil engineering works.

 

The Government stated in a press release that the estimated value of the works is €196.27 million, excluding VAT.

 

“The planned deadline for completion of the works, including the preparation of the main design, is 48 months from the date the selected contractor begins work,” the press rease reads.

 

The length of this section, which covers parts of the municipalities of Kotor and Budva, is about eight kilometres.

 

The section begins at the Lastva Grbaljska interchange (connection with the M1 main road) and ends at the Markovici interchange (connection with the M10 road).

 

“The project includes the construction of four bridges with a total length of about 1.4 kilometres, as well as two twin-tube tunnels with a total length of about 4.3 kilometres. 

 

The construction of the Budva bypass is a project of great importance for Montenegro, as it will enable faster, safer, and more efficient traffic connections along the coast, significantly contributing to the development of transport infrastructure and regional connectivity.
