The Employers’ Federation of Montenegro (UPCG), in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development and the Tax Administration (PU), organized a roundtable dedicated to providing guidance on the new Law on Business Organizations.
UPCG Secretary General Suzana Radulovic highlighted the importance of constructive dialogue and the active involvement of employers in analyzing the new legislative framework.
Deputy Director of the Tax Administration Zdravko Gutovic underscored the central role of the Central Register of Business Entities (CRPS) in implementing the regulations, particularly regarding company registration, data updates, and the application of other rules governing registration procedures and corporate obligations.
Legal expert and member of the drafting team, attorney Nemanja Radovic, presented the most important new provisions and benefits of the modernized legal framework, harmonized with EU directives.
He particularly emphasized the introduction of the European joint-stock company and the European economic interest grouping, the possibility of fully electronic company establishment, temporary suspension of business activity for entrepreneurs, electronic founding acts, conditional capital increases, and stricter criteria for non-cash contributions.
