Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The high ranking of the National Tourism Organization’s (NTO) destination film “Uncover Your Wild Side” confirms that Montenegro can stand out at the top of global tourism promotion through dedicated work, creative ideas, and an innovative approach, said NTO Director Ana Tripkovic Markovic.

The NTO’s tourism film “Uncover Your Wild Side” won a prestigious second place at the World Tourism Film Awards – The Festival of Festivals, held in Guimaraes, Portugal. 

This festival is the final stage of the CIFFT global ranking system and the highest level of international evaluation for tourism films.

The NTO stated in a press release that the CIFFT recognition places Montenegro among the top five best tourism films in the Tourist Destination – Country category, just behind Switzerland, marking the greatest achievement for the country in this field to date.

Tripkovic Markovic said that this recognition is of great importance for Montenegro.

“Our tourism film Uncover Your Wild Side has so far won a record number of awards across three continents. The most significant among them is second place at the prestigious global competition held under the patronage of UN Tourism. Out of more than four thousand tourism films from 50 countries, Montenegro ranked among the top five together with destinations such as Switzerland, Sweden, and Portugal – all of which have significantly larger budgets,” said Tripkovic Markovic.

The CIFFT network of tourism film festivals (The International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals) brings together the most prestigious and influential tourism film festivals worldwide and represents the only global ranking system in this field.
