EPCG plays an active role in the green and digital transformation process 

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The participation of Executive Director of Elektroprivreda (EPCG) Ivan Bulatovic in the investment conference “Smart Growth, Green Future: Accelerating Investment in Montenegro,” highlights the company’s active role in the green and digital transition process, its contribution to the development of sustainable energy, and its support in strengthening Montenegro’s investment potential.

 

“EPCG remains committed to initiatives that contribute to transforming the Montenegrin economy, improving energy efficiency, and achieving sustainable development goals in line with European standards,” the company stated in a press release.

 

The two-day event, held today and tomorrow at The Chedi Hotel, brings together Montenegro’s top officials, representatives of the European Union, international organizations, and leading companies from the region and Europe. 

 

The conference was officially opened by President of European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and Prime Minister Milojko Spajic, who highlighted Montenegro’s role as a reliable EU partner and a frontrunner in green policies in the Western Balkans.

 

Von der Leyen underlined the importance of renewable energy sources such as wind and solar, while Spajic announced further construction and expansion of energy capacities, investment in green infrastructure, and positioning Montenegro as an energy bridge between the Balkans and the EU. 

 

In the context of cooperation with European partners, he specified that investments are needed “here and now.”

 

Organized in cooperation with the European Commission and the Montenegro Investment Agency, the “Smart Growth, Green Future: Accelerating Investments in Montenegro” conference provides an ideal opportunity to exchange experiences, identify new opportunities, and strengthen dialogue between the public and private sectors.
