Gorcevic: We expect additional €97.3 million from Growth Plan by October

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorcevic said that Montenegro has fulfilled 83 percent of its planned obligations under the fourth semi-annual report on the implementation of the Reform Agenda for the EU Reform and Growth Facility and expects to receive €97.3 million in October.

Speaking at a press conference after a Cabinet meeting, she said these were the best results achieved so far.

“The fourth semi-annual report is also the most successful report to date when it comes to the Reform Agenda. Its implementation rate stands at 83 percent, with 34 of the 41 reform steps reported as completed. EU support worth €97.3 million is linked to the fulfilment of these steps,” Gorcevic said.

She explained that the Reform Agenda includes 130 reform steps across four important areas, for which the European Union has allocated around €383.5 million to Montenegro.

So far, Montenegro has withdrawn €89.3 million, including €41.54 million through direct budget support and €47.75 million for infrastructure projects in the fields of energy, education, and digitalization.
