MICE Industry Group established

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) has established the MICE Industry Group under its Tourism and Hospitality Association Board.

 

“The group will consider issues of importance to the development, improvement, and promotion of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) industry in Montenegro and will work to strengthen the country’s competitiveness in the domestic and international business events market,” the Chamber said in a press release.

 

Chairman of the Board Ranko Jovovic, said that Montenegro has all the prerequisites to become a competitive and attractive destination for business travel, conferences, and congresses, thanks to its diverse tourism products, high service standards, and strategic potential for hosting international events.

 

“Given the importance of the MICE industry for tourism development, increasing tourism spending, extending the tourist season, and enhancing Montenegro's international recognition as a business destination, companies operating in the MICE sector initiated the establishment of the MICE Industry Group within the Tourism and Hospitality Association Board,” Jovovic said.

 

Following the verification of the terms of the group’s 29 members, Luka Bulatovic of Explorer was elected chairman of the group, while Spasenija Puric of Montenegro Stars Hotel Group was elected deputy chair.
