Podgorica, (MINA) - The European Union (EU) has full confidence in the reforms carried out by Montenegro and provides clear and strong support for the country’s goal of joining the EU in 2028, said Foreign Affairs Minister Ervin Ibrahimovic.

He wrote this on the X social network on the occasion of the visit of the President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen to Montenegro.

“An important visit by the President of the EC to Montenegro. Recognition and praise for the achieved results. A call to intensify efforts and focus on the implementation of reforms”, ​​said Ibrahimovic.

According to him, the EU has full confidence in the reforms carried out by Montenegro.

“And it provides clear and strong support for our goal of becoming an EU member in 2028. Grateful for the support, we continue with the reforms. See you in the EU”, said Ibrahimovic.
