Podgorica, (MINA) – Defense Minister Dragan Krapovic and his German counterpart Boris Pistorius signed an Agreement on cooperation between the two governments in the procurement of military and defense equipment, as well as training and services.
According to the press release from the Montenegrin Ministry of Defense, the special importance of the document lies in the fact that it is the first G2G (Government-to-Government) agreement of this kind concluded by Germany.
“Thus, the high level of mutual trust and partnership between the two states has been confirmed, and at the same time the foundation has been laid for future joint projects in the field of modernization of defense capacities and capabilities”, the press release said.
During the meeting with Pistorius in Berlin, Krapovic emphasized the very important role of Germany in strengthening the European pillar of transatlantic security.
