Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic presented five key pillars for the development of Bar, stressing that he refuses to allow Montenegro to stand still.
“If we want to work seriously, it will be enough to look at Bar to see how much we have achieved,” Milatovic said at the ceremony marking the Bar Liberation Day.
Congratulating the citizens of Bar, he said that their city is a symbol of freedom, anti-fascism, and multiethnic harmony on which modern Montenegro is being built.
He presented Bar’s development through five key pillars.
The first pillar envisages transforming Bar into a modern European port and a transportation hub, while the second one will result in better public services and a safer life.
The third pillar concerns tourism that connects the Adriatic Sea and Lake Skadar.
According to Milatovic, the remaining two pillars focus on preservation of cultural and historical heritage, and building bridges between with people, cities, and countries.
