Podgorica, (MINA) - Montenegro will open an embassy in Riyadh early next year, Prime Minister Milojko Spajic has announced.

In a letter sent on Tuesday to the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, Spajic stated that until an ambassador is appointed, Montenegro will appoint a chargé d’affaires.

According to the press release from his office, Spajic has recently paid an official visit to Saudi Arabia, where he held a successful meeting with Bin Salman.

“Spajic and Bin Salman exchanged opinions on opportunities for further development and strengthening of cooperation between Montenegro and Saudi Arabia, which are bound by long-standing friendship and mutual respect, and on that occasion the opening of the Embassy of Montenegro in Riyadh was announced”, the press release said.

In his letter, Spajic thanked Bin Salman for his exceptional hospitality and his comprehensive efforts in developing and transformation of Saudi Arabia.
