Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The National Tourism Organization (NTO) of Montenegro has become a member of Destinations International, the leading global organization connecting destination organizations and tourism professionals worldwide.

According to a press release from the NTO, Destinations International brings together a large number of members and provides access to an international network of training and best practices. 

“The association is recognized as a key partner in capacity building, knowledge exchange, and introducing modern approaches to destination development. Membership enables the exchange of knowledge and experience with leading tourism professionals, aiming to strengthen capacities and enhance Montenegro’s competitiveness as a tourist destination,” the NTO stated.

Director of European Partnerships at Destinations International Jane Cunningham said that Montenegro is the first country in the Balkans to become a member.

“We are truly pleased that a country with such natural wealth and diverse tourism opportunities is part of our community,” Cunningham said.

Thanks to its membership in Destinations International, the NTO will have the opportunity to access modern tools and resources to improve its operations, participate in international training programmes and research, exchange experiences with leading destinations worldwide, and further strengthen Montenegro’s competitiveness as a tourist destination.
