Podgorica, (MINA) – The Montenegrin Parliament will soon appoint its representative to Montenegro’s Mission to the European Union (EU) in Brussels, the Parliament announced.
The Parliament noted in a press release that Montenegro is in the final phase of its European integration process, in which the Parliament plays a key role.
“In this regard, the Parliament will soon appoint its representative to Montenegro’s Mission to the EU in Brussels, which is an important step that will ensure the presence of our Parliament where European decisions are made, and enable a faster integration of European standards into our work,” the press release reads.
According to the Parliament, its representative will serve as a link between Podgorica and Brussels, strengthening cooperation with the European Parliament (EP), the European Commission, and other EU institutions.
