Podgorica, (MINA) - Montenegro does not engage in calculations when it comes to EU integration and expects fair treatment, Prime Minister Milojko Spajic said.

Spajic wrote on the X social network that he had a constructive meeting with European Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos regarding Montenegro’s EU integration.

“The wheel of reforms is speeding up in order to achieve our ambitious goals. Montenegro does not engage in calculations when it comes to European integration, and we have every right to expect fair treatment in line with the purpose of this process is – full membership”, Spajic said.

He recalled that in less than a month they Montenegro will return to Brussels for the Intergovernmental Conference.

“As we have promised, we aim to close more negotiation chapters and continue even more decisively towards achieving our goal”, said Spajic.

He emphasized that 2026 will be a year of big decisions.

“The EU – Montenegro is ready”, Spajic concluded.
