Podgorica, Riyadh, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Saudi Arabia is interested in intensifying investment activities with Montenegro and considering additional initiatives aimed at improving cooperation between the two countries.

 

During his official visit to Riyadh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimovic met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

 

Ibrahimovic said that Montenegro and Saudi Arabia share a clear commitment to strengthening mutual connectivity, enhancing economic cooperation, and business networking, which serves as a foundation for further development of their overall relations.

 

He expressed particular satisfaction with the strengthened communication on both political and operational levels, along with the confidence that the present mutually beneficial momentum will further advance in the coming period.

 

“In this context, the visit marked an important step forward in establishing closer relations between the two countries, which will be further strengthened by the opening of the Embassy of Montenegro in Riyadh,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release.

 

Al Saud expressed readiness to further improve overall cooperation between the two countries.

 

Welcoming Montenegro’s ambitious development vision and its prospects for joining the European Union (EU) soon, he expressed interest in increasing investment activities, recognizing Montenegro as an attractive and stable environment for the development of new projects in fields of mutual interest.

 

He underscored the importance of continuous dialogue at all levels as the foundation for further progress in relations, expressing confidence that new cooperation formats will also contribute to stronger institutional connections.

 

 

The two officials agreed that economic and trade cooperation hold special potential and should remain in focus.
