Closer cooperation boosts Montenegro’s EU integration

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The updated Memorandum of Understanding between the Montenegrin and Slovenian civil aviation agencies will strengthen their cooperation, supporting Montenegro’s European integration in the field of air transport.
The memorandum, renewed after ten years, was signed today in Podgorica by directors of the civil aviation agencies of Montenegro and Slovenia, Ivan Scekic and Miha Snabl.
“This document strengthens collaboration in air traffic control, safety, and security between the two countries, while also facilitating the implementation of European and international regulations,” the Montenegrin Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) stated in a press release.
The agreement outlines joint development initiatives and flexible use of documentation and human resources in the field of civil aviation.
The enhanced cooperation in aviation inspections and industry oversight is of particular importance, along with continuous alignment with EU acquis and international civil aviation standards and practices.
The original memorandum was signed on 23 July 2015 in Ljubljana.
