Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Management Board of the Employment Office has adopted its mid-year report, highlighting a significant improvement in the country’s labour market.

 
As at June 30, the unemployment register listed 27,950 individuals, 60 percent of whom were women.

“Compared to the same date last year, the number of unemployed people decreased by 6,760,” the Employment Office stated in a press release.

The unemployment rate continued its downward trend, reaching 9.13 percent at the end of June, down 2.43 percentage points compared to 11.56 percent in June 2025.

The largest number of unemployed individuals was recorded in the Podgorica regional unit, including the employment offices in Podgorica, Danilovgrad, Zeta, Tuzi, and Cetinje, with 6,670 individuals or 23.87 percent of the total number of unemployed people.

The Board concluded that the noticeable year-over-year decline in unemployment reflected positive trends in the labour market and an overall improvement in the economic climate.
