Montenegro attracts attention of influential UK media

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – In June, Montenegro was presented as an authentic and affordable travel destination by some of the most influential British media outlets, as a result of the National Tourism Organisation’s (NTO) ongoing promotional efforts.

According to the NTO, one of the most significant features appeared in The Travel Guide, a supplement distributed with The Telegraph, the UK’s most widely read daily newspaper, which reaches over 70 million readers per month.

The piece was part of a promotional campaign launched ahead of the summer season.

“In a series of articles published in leading British print media, Montenegro was portrayed as a food lover’s paradise – a destination where visitors can enjoy fresh seafood, traditional dishes, visits to family-run farms, and wine tasting,” the NTO stated.

They also noted that National Geographic Traveller Food featured a Montenegro ad, which was promoted at the prestigious Food Festival in London, where the NTO showcased the country's rich and authentic cuisine.

An article on Montenegro was also published in the esteemed Condé Nast Traveller magazine, following a study visit organized by the NTO for British journalist Ruby Deevoy.

“In the piece, Montenegro is described as a country that blends unspoiled nature and rich cultural heritage with modern amenities and luxury, while still offering an authentic experience and a sense of peace – far removed from mass tourism,” the NTO said.

The NTO added that other influential UK media have also highlighted Montenegro. Express.co.uk, for instance, published several articles positioning Montenegro as an attractive alternative to popular European destinations like Greece, Spain, and Portugal—particularly emphasizing its more affordable prices.
