Podgorica, (MINA) – The Democratic People’s Party (DNP) has announced that it will support the leader of the Preokret Movement, Srdjan Peric,  for the position of Capital City Assembly chair in a technical mandate to prevent the introduction of forced administration in Podgorica.

The DNP said that, although they announced during the talks that their sole goal was to prevent the introduction of forced administration, and that they would not agree to any blackmail or conditioning, they were faced with a series of conditions, blackmail and deliberate delays during the talks.

The DNP stated that the representatives of the Europe Now Movement insisted that the party support Sasa Mujovic and endorse his performance report, which, according to the DNP, would represent a trampling of their core principles.

The party stressed that there is no position, either at the state or local level, for which they are ready to compromise their principled positions.
