Podgorica, (MINA) – The Commission tasked to conduct the election of the President and members of the Central Election Commission (CIK) has issued the fifth public call for candidates for these positions.

At the Wednesday session, the commission adopted the text of the public call, which was published on the website of the Parliament of Montenegro.

The Commission invited and encouraged all interested candidates who meet the prescribed requirements to apply and contribute to a more competitive selection process.

This is the fifth attempt to elect the President and four members of the CIK, after the previous calls failed to produce candidates that could be proposed to the Parliament of Montenegro, since some of the applied did not meet the legal requirements, while others failed to secure the required number of points.
