Podgorica, (MINA) – The Podgorica Police Department has detained M.V., one of the suspects in the attack on Milivoje Brkovic, a councillor in the Capital City Assembly, Minister of the Interior Danilo Saranovic announced.

The Police Administration had previously announced that they had identified T.S. and M.V. as suspects in the attack on Brkovic last week and that a national search has been launched for them.

Saranović stated in a press release that one of the suspects was located and taken into custody.

“I have been just informed by Chief of Police Administration Lazar Scepanovic that Podgorica Security Department officers located and detained M.V. from Podgorica,”, Saranovic said.

He said that police and the prosecutor’s office are to continue their actions, on which the Police Administration will inform the public.
