Podgorica, (MINA) – I.M. (32) was killed in the shooting that took place on Saturday evening in Podgorica, while two others were injured, the Police Administration has announced, adding that the incident is believed to be linked to the activities of organized criminal groups.

According to the press release, a firearm was used by an as yet unknown perpetrator outside a restaurant on Svetozara Markovica Street, around ten minutes before midnight.

“On that occasion, I.M. was killed, while two individuals were injured and received adequate medical assistance”, the press release said.

The Police Administration stated that their officers took immediate activities in order to identify and locate the perpetrator, and are taking further activities to establish all the facts and circumstances.

The Police Administration stated that they are continuing with intensive operational activities with the aim of identifying the perpetrator and fully resolving this serious crime, which, according to operational data, is linked to the activities of organized criminal groups.

They recalled that in 2020, a criminal complaint was filed against I.M. on suspicion of creating a criminal organization and illegal possession of weapons and explosives.
