Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The National Tourism Organization (NTO) hosted a study visit for prominent German media representatives in Montenegro last week.

In cooperation with PR agency Mascontour, the study visit was organized from 1 to 5 June.

“The visit brought together representatives of leading German media outlets specializing in tourism, travel and active holidays, whose combined reach extends to several million readers, listeners and followers each month,” the NTO said in a press release.

Among the most influential participants was Michele Förster of Reisereporter, one of Germany’s leading travel portals, which attracts more than 3.5 million visits per month.

The NTO also expects significant destination promotion through articles by Michael Bartholomaeus in Nice Hours magazine, which records around 500,000 page views per month.

According to the press release, German journalists visited Tivat, the Porto Montenegro resort, Herceg Novi and Kotor. After exploring the coast, they travelled to Grahovo, went rafting on the Tara River, took a boat trip on Lake Piva and visited mountainous areas while discovering the region’s natural attractions.

Support for the organization of the media visit was also provided by the local tourist board of Tivat, Herceg Novi and Kotor, the Piva Nature Park, Carine Kumbor Hotel and Air Montenegro.
