Podgorica, (MINA) - The security situation in Montenegro has become alarming, the Civic Movement URA stated, adding that it is time for Prime Minister Milojko Spajic and the ministers to stop hiding behind party interests and finally take responsibility.
“Since the 44th Government took office in October 2023, the security situation has deteriorated rapidly, to the point that it has become alarming in Montenegro”, the URA stated in a press release.
The party argues that criminal confrontations take place on Montenegrin streets almost daily, including burning of vehicles of high-ranking police officers, while innocent citizens are not spared from such incidents.
According to the URA, it is obvious that the current situation is the result of institutional chaos, Spajic’s lack of interest and the party’s hunger for positions in power, as the sole focus of the current parliamentary majority.
“It’s time for the prime minister and ministers to stop hiding behind party calculations and finally take responsibility, because if they are not able to protect citizens and our children, then they are not worthy of holding those offices”, said the URA.
