Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The average net salary in Montenegro amounted to €1,010 in June, down 0.4 percent on May.

According to the Statistical Office, the average net salary increased by 20.5 percent, compared to last year’s corresponding period.

The average gross salary reached nearly €1,200 in June.

“Given that, compared with May, the consumer prices increased by 0.4 percent in June, the real wages in Montenegro decreased by 0.8 percent in this period,” stated a press release from Monstat.

In June, average net salaries increased in the field of agriculture, forestry and fisheries, transport and warehousing, electricity and gas supply and air conditioning, professional, scientific and technical activities, water supply and wastewater management, financial and insurance services, other services, public administration and defence: mandatory social insurance, wholesale and retail trade, maintenance of motor vehicles and motorcycles.

In the same period, average net salaries decreased in the field of accommodation and food services, civil engineering, real estate, mining and quarrying, education, information and communications, art, entertainment and recreation, healthcare and social welfare, administrative and supporting services, and processing industry.
