Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Compared with last year’s corresponding period, industrial production in Montenegro increased by 18.6 percent in the second quarter.

“Compared with the second quarter of 2024, the mining and quarrying industry and the processing industry increased by four percent and 38 percent, respectively, while the electricity and gas supply and air conditioning sector decreased by 23.9 percent,” stated a press release from Monstat.

Compared with Q1, the industrial production saw a 22.5 percent decrease in this year’s second quarter.

“In this period, the mining and quarrying industry, and the electricity and gas supply and air conditioning sector saw a year-on-year decreases of 36.4 percent and 68.7 percent, respectively, while the processing industry grew by 19.8 percent,” the press release reads.
