More companies with frozen accounts

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) has published a new list of companies with frozen accounts, with 36 companies more than last month.

The new list of companies with frozen accounts, published every month in line with the Payment Operations Law, includes 21,020 companies registered by the Central Registry of Business Organizations, and the CBCG.

According to this piece of legislation, the CBCG is obliged to publish the information related to the forced collection procedures, including the names of the companies or entrepreneurs, their registration numbers, the amount of their debt, and for how long their accounts have been frozen.

This data is published once a month on the CBCG’s website, on the first weekday of every month, providing an overview of balance on the last day of the month, in alphabetical order of the names of companies and entrepreneurs.

Between July 2012 and 9 January 2014, the data had been published in compliance with the Law on Internal Payment Operation, which was in force at that time, for the companies and entrepreneurs whose accounts have been frozen for more than 30 days on the basis of a debt exceeding €10,000.

In order to ensure full impartiality, the names of the companies are published in alphabetical order on the CBCG website www.cbcg.me.
