Retail turnover grows 

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Compared with the corresponding period of 2024, the retail turnover in Montenegro increased by 8.4 percent in current and 4.6 percent in constant prices in this year’s second quarter.

In Q2 2025, the retail turnover was higher compared with the first quarter, by 28.7 percent in current and 25.9 percent in constant prices.

The Statistical Office stated that, in the second quarter, the retail turnover in motor fuel decreased 0.9 percent year on year and increased by 22.3 percent compared to Q2 2024.

 

“In the second quarter, the retail turnover in food saw a year-on-year increase of 9.4 percent, while it rose by 32.2 percent compared with the first quarter,” stated a press release issued by Monstat.

 

Retail turnover in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products saw a 9.6 percent year-on-year increase in the second quarter, while it rose by 6.8 percent compared with the previous quarter.

 

Retail turnover in other non-food products increased by eight percent year on year in the fourth quarter, while it was 32.5 percent higher than in the first quarter.
