More broadband connections at the end of May

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – There were 207,650 broadband connections in Montenegro at the end of May, regardless of the access technology used, slightly more compared to April.
Compared to last year's corresponding period, the number of broadband connections increased by 1.7 percent in May.
According to the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Service (EKIP), there were 106,580 fibre-optic internet connections (FTTH/B) in this period, 668 more than in April.
EKIP stated in a report that the number of cable distribution (HFC/CDS) connections reached 54,000 in May.
The number of VDSL and ADSL connections was 29,350 and 15,320 respectively.
According to the report, there were 2,040 WiFi connections in May.
“There were 344 other connections (satellite internet, MPLS and leased lines), same as in April,” says EKIP.
