Podgorica, (MINA) – The Council of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK) suspended the proceedings for the dismissal of former ASK director Jelena Perovic, as her term of office expired last Friday, the Agency announced.

The decision to suspend the proceedings was made at the Council’s Tuesday session.

“The ASK Council, by the votes of all present members, decided to suspend the decision-making procedure, as requested by the ruling of the Administrative Court from May 16, due to the expiration of Jelena Perovic’s term of office on July 25”, the press release reads.

The Administrative Court, in a ruling issued on May 16, annulled the ASK Council’s decision to dismiss Perovic.
