Brajovic: Zeta Assembly incident an act of cowardice

Podgorica, (MINA) - The physical attack in the Zeta Municipal Assembly is an act of cowardice, not courage, said chair of the Zeta New Serbian Democracy (NSD) board Miroslav Brajovic, calling for accountability of all participants in the incident.

The Zeta board of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) previously assessed that the incident was the result of many years of inappropriate conduct by local government representatives, which, they said, was often aimed at undermining the integrity and dignity of DPS councilors.

Brajovic recalled that in a recent incident in the Zeta Municipal Assembly, DPS councilor Dusan Radonjic physically attacked fellow councilor Vesko Rasovic and on that occasion caused serious physical injuries to him and NSD councilor Anastasija Damjanovic.

Brajovic pointed out that no official from DPS Zeta reacted or apologized to the injured councilors.

He thanked Damjanovic for her “brave, great and humane” act, stressing that she prevented more serious consequences of the physical conflict.

Brajovic said that the NSD fully supports the DPS’s call for competent authorities to act in accordance with the law.
