Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to Tihomir Dragas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Air Montenegro, the national airline has become the owner of an aircraft bearing registration number 4O-AOE.

“The company has signed an agreement to purchase this aircraft from its previous owner for $11 million,” Dragas posted on X.

The aircraft has been registered in the Montenegrin Civil Aircraft Register since 4 July last year. It is the third aircraft owned by the company.

“The purchase decision was preceded by a detailed analysis that confirmed the economic viability of this investment. Following that, the Board of Directors approved the purchase proposal, while the Government gave its consent for the transaction to proceed,” Dragas said.

As he noted, the national carrier had previously announced plans to expand its fleet with the addition of another, fourth aircraft of the same type.

“The aircraft is currently in Germany, where final preparations for delivery are being completed, and its arrival in Montenegro is expected by the end of June,” Dragas said.
