Podgorica, (MINA - BUSINESS) – According to Elektroprivreda (EPCG), the Gvozd Wind Farm has generated around 10.5 percent of its projected annual electricity output since being commissioned on 9 May, underscoring the project’s importance to Montenegro's energy system.
The announcement was made during the presentation “The Gvozd Wind Farm Project: From Concept to Completion”, held as part of the fifth EPCG NET Energy Symposium.
Gvozd Wind Farm Project Manager Nikola Vukotic said that enabling electricity generation as early as May required a highly demanding and complex process.
He noted that wind conditions in May were above average.
“This is a project we worked on through two winters and two springs, at a site located approximately 1,600 metres above sea level,” Vukotic said.
