Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Games of Chance Administration, revenues from games of chance and prize competitions reached €25.97 million in the first eight months, up 24.29 percent year on year.

This authority reported that in August alone, revenues amounted to €5.19 million, which is 64.83 percent more compared to the same month last year.

In the first eight months, there was a 67.93 percent increase in casino revenues, reaching €5.25 million. 

“Total revenues from organizing games of chance via the internet and other telecommunication means amounted to €9.42 million, which is 26.4.7 percent more than in last year’s corresponding period,” the Administration stated in a press release.

Additionally, betting revenues rose by 0.49 percent to €6.35 million.

There was also a 20.98 percent increase in revenue from slot clubs, reaching €1.73 million.

“These figures clearly confirm the stable growth and development of the games of chance sector, with the Administration spearheading the implementation of modern solutions and the employing a unified information system for supervision, which enables efficient monitoring and significantly contributes to curbing the informal economy,” the press release reads.
