Podgorica, (MINA) - The Commission formed by the Environmental Protection Agency has already prepared a positive opinion and granted approval for the construction of the wastewater treatment plant in Botun, thereby confirming that the entire project represents an organized criminal activity, said leader of the Democratic People’s Party, Milan Knezevic.
Podgorica Mayor Sasa Mujovic said recently that the Capital City would wait until the end of September for the Agency’s opinion on the construction of the plant in Botun and that, if the opinion were negative, the construction of the plant would be abandoned.
Knezevic stated in a press release that he learned that the Commission formed by the Agency has already prepared a positive opinion and approval for the construction of the plant.
“This fully confirms that this is an organized criminal activity directed against the public health and the environment of Botun and Gornja Zeta”, Knezevic said.
He called on the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SPO) to open an investigation against the members of the Commission and determine whether their actions involved abuse of office and corruption.
“If the SPO fails to act, I will personally file a criminal complaint against all members of the Commission who gave a positive opinion and granted a permission for the murder of the citizens of Botun and Gornja Zeta”, announced Knezevic.
According to him, once the opinion is officially issued on Friday, it will be clear to everyone that the case of the construction of the wastewater treatment plant in Gornja Zeta is a matter of high-level corruption, and that someone has assumed obligations which now must be fulfilled.
