Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Science and Technology Park (STP) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Secretariat of the Competitiveness Council and the company BI Communication, establishing a strategic partnership aimed at advancing women’s entrepreneurship, innovation, and gender equality in Montenegro.

The agreement is being implemented within the framework of the project Women’s Business Trademark, which aims to identify and empower companies owned and managed by women through a standardized and credible framework that facilitates access to support programmes, financing, and development mechanisms.

“Within its incubation, acceleration, mentoring, and other development programmes, STP will take into account the criteria for women’s entrepreneurship defined by the international standard MEST IWA 34:2021, which serves as the basis for awarding the Women’s Business Trademark,” STP stated in a press release.

 According to the press release, this further strengthens institutional support for women entrepreneurs within Montenegro’s innovation and startup ecosystem.

STP Executive Director Valentina Radulovic stated that the agreement marks an important step toward creating a more inclusive and fairer entrepreneurial environment:

Founder and Executive Director of BI Communication Ljiljana Burzan-Nikolic noted pointed out that Women’s Business Trademark was created in response to the need for a systemic approach to supporting women in business.

The agreement provides for the implementation of joint promotional and educational activities, the exchange of knowledge and best practices, as well as STP’s active participation in events and initiatives dedicated to the development of women’s entrepreneurship.
