Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – It was concluded at a meeting between Prime Minister Milojko Spajic and ministers from Bahrain that there is the potential for economic cooperation between Montenegro and Bahrain, particularly in the fields of science, innovation, and tourism.
Spajic met today in Davos with Bahraini Minister at the Prime Minister’s Court, Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Minister of Finance and National Economy, Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
“Following the signing of the first Memorandum of Cooperation between Montenegro and Bahrain in November 2024, during the visit of the Montenegrin Prime Minister to Bahrain, the meeting focused on possible forms of cooperation in the fields of economy, science and innovation,” the Government stated in a press release.
Bahraini ministers praised Prime Minister Spajic’s leadership, highlighting the potential for cooperation between the two economies, particularly in the areas of science, innovation and tourism.
During the meeting, particular emphasis was placed on the need for training and skills development in the context of rapid changes in the labour market, as well as on the success of Bahrain’s state institution Tamkeen in this field.
It was concluded that these experiences and expertise could be leveraged through programmes implemented by RESPA in Montenegro.
