Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Executive Director of Elektroprivreda (EPCG), Zdravko Dragas, the power sector is facing new challenges brought about by the energy transition, digitalization, and the increasing integration of renewable energy sources, making professional cooperation and the exchange of experience especially important.
Speaking at the official opening of CIRED Montenegro, Dragas highlighted the importance of professional cooperation and the exchange of experience among experts in electricity distribution and the broader power sector.
Dragas said that the energy sector is currently facing numerous challenges arising from the energy transition and that the sharing of knowledge and experience is essential for overcoming them successfully.
He particularly highlighted technical issues in the low-voltage (LV) network, which have become more acute due to the significant increase in the number of prosumers and the growing integration of renewable energy sources.
“Events like this provide an opportunity for experts to exchange experiences, present innovative solutions, and work together to improve the reliability and stability of the distribution network. Only through cooperation and the application of best practices can we respond to the challenges brought by new technologies and changes in the way electricity is produced and consumed,” Dragas said.
