Montenegro implements 64 percent of EU Accession Program commitments

 

Podgorica, (MINA) - The Government implemented 64 percent of the commitment stipulated by Montenegro’s EU Accession Program for last year, which, as announced, indicates stable and measurable progress in its implementation.

The press release states that, during the Thursday cabinet session, the Government adopted the Report on the Implementation of Commitments from Montenegro’s EU Accession Program 2025-2026, for last year.

The Government clarified that the Accession Program, adopted on February 13 last year, is a two-year strategic document covering all 33 negotiation chapters.

“According to the analysis of the implementation of commitments foreseen by the Program, a total of 406 obligations were planned for 2025, of which 257 were implemented, which represents 63 percent of the total level of implementation”, the announcement states.

According to the press release, after consolidating commitments which appear across several negotiation chapters, 354 unique commitments were identified.

“Of which 225, or 64 percent, have been implemented”, said the Government.
