Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Monteput and the Italian company IRD Engineering have signed a contract for the provision of consultancy services related to the supervision of the design and construction works on the second section of the Bar–Boljare motorway, from Matesevo to Andrijevica.

“The value of the contract amounts to €14.45 million, excluding value-added tax (VAT), while the planned duration of the services is 90 months, including the period for the elimination of any potential deficiencies,” Monteput said in a press release.

The supervision contract marks an important step in continuing the implementation of a major infrastructure project in Montenegro, ensuring strong professional support across all phases of design and construction.

“In order to select the best supervision, Monteput published a tender in August 2024, conducted in accordance with the rules and procedures of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD),” the company recalled, adding that fourteen companies and consortia expressed interest in the project.

Following the evaluation process, six bidders advanced to the second phase of the tender, which was announced in June last year, after which IRD Engineering was selected as the most favourable bidder.
